Candy Matson, YUkon 2-8209 | The Cable Car Case | B4TV Radio Detective Theater

A shopping trip turns deadly when Candy Matson finds herself riding the same San Francisco cable car as a murder victim.

In The Cable Car Case, Candy’s day out takes a hard turn into detective work when a body turns up aboard one of the city’s most iconic rides. With a killer somewhere in the crowd and a reward tempting enough to keep things interesting, Candy follows the clues through a case that feels tailor-made for the show’s San Francisco setting — sharp, stylish, dangerous, and just a little cheeky.

Original airdate: July 7, 1949.

Candy Matson, YUkon 2-8209 stars Natalie Parks as Candy Matson, the quick-witted San Francisco private investigator who answers trouble from her Telegraph Hill apartment and usually solves the case before the men finish underestimating her.
