In Europe, a Governor is a lord. In America, he’s just the man next to you at the dinner table.

B4TV explores the startling lack of social hierarchy in the young Republic. This dramatization captures the moment French aristocrats realize that in America, “The People” actually rule.

THE PRODUCTION LOG:

Historical Focus: American Egalitarianism and the breakdown of class.

Original Air Date: January 24, 1962

B4TV MISSION: Support the preservation of the “Theatre of the Mind.” Part of our America 250 celebration. #B4TV #Democracy #VintageRadio
