Candy Matson, YUkon 2-8209 | NC9-8012 | B4TV Radio Detective Theater

💋🌉 A fatal airplane crash is supposed to be an accident. Candy Matson is asked to confirm the official-looking answer — which, of course, is exactly when the answer starts smelling wrong.

In NC9-8012, Candy is brought in by an insurance investigator to review a deadly crash and confirm whether the case is as simple as it appears. The closer Candy looks, the more suspicious the evidence becomes, turning a technical aviation matter into a darker mystery with something more sinister behind it. Great Detectives lists the episode with an original airdate of December 27, 1949, and OTRR’s Archive.org files also identify the recording under that date.

Candy Matson, YUkon 2-8209 stars Natalie Parks as Candy Matson, a sharp San Francisco private eye who can handle a clue, a crook, and a police lieutenant without losing her rhythm. The series was created by Monty Masters, with Henry Leff as Lt. Ray Mallard and Jack Thomas as Rembrandt Watson.
